At the University of Wisconsin, ultrasound is considered a foundational component of training. We invest in strong ultrasound training and incorporate this into everyday clinical care. With state-of-the-art equipment and our many credentialed faculty, we create an environment that encourages the use of ultrasound in clinical practice. Ultrasound helps to guide resuscitation in critical and trauma care and gives our clinicians fast, real-time information while routinely increasing time at the bedside.
The Division of Emergency Ultrasound consists of eight fellowship-trained ultrasound faculty and typically 1-2 fellows, which underscores our commitment to an environment of ultrasound excellence. Students and residents get to work side-by-side with our faculty to develop knowledge and skills in bedside ultrasound.
